FROM THE BLOOMINGTON PANTAGRAPH
MARCH 22, 2008
An indie film shot around Metamora and Washburn by a Bradley University student will be unveiled for the first time March 30 at the Apollo Theater in downtown Peoria. Titled Into the Woods, the film follows five college students on what sounds like a "Deliverance"-worthy camping trip: four of them go missing before it's over, triggering, we're told, "a rollercoaster of twists and unexpected events." One of the film's creators, Levi Obery, lives in Metamora and attends Bradley University in Peoria; his partner, David Zimmerman III, is Chicago-based. The black-tie premiere at 6 p.m. features a reception and screening, with tickets priced at $15; a second, casual showing, at 8 p.m. costs $5.
